Myntra Haul - Outfit Styling Options.

The minute summer steps in most of our wardrobe receives a major makeover. Most women that I know of prefer breezy and flowy outfit options in lighter material options like crepe or polyester or georgette. Me on the other hand have been a fan of cotton for longer than I can remember. Polyester and crepe and silk literally stick to my body and I find it annoying more often than not. Hence summer come and my wardrobe goes all versions of cotton.

I have been a major hoarder all my life. I would collect as many clothes and shoes and bags and more shoes as possible just so I have enough options to experiment with. However, I would end up wearing only 2 pieces out of 10 items time and again. I would pick quantity over quality when it came to clothes. But with time, that thought has turned around and now I rather buy 3 awesome pieces that fit me well than 15 not so awesome ones. Major Enlightenment isn't it !! Apparently Darwinism applies to materialistic things as well !
Recently I had a mini shopping haul on Myntra; which by the way has upped it's summer game big time! I was able to curate through humongous options and was able to add some staple pieces to my cart.  Of all the things I picked up from Myntra, I would like to mention 3 tops in particular and also would mention how I styled them up.

Every single clothing item that I picked up is either cotton or viscose material or a blend of both. They are not just flowy but equally breathable. I also tried to pick them up in solid color palettes so they can be styled in various ways and with different options of bottom wear.

For the first outfit styling, I picked up the blush pink top. One thing that caught my attention was the lace detailing around the top which gives it a very feminine touch. I paired it up with my stripe pencil skirt (Koovs) and beige heels (Westside). I would more so imagine to wear it as a day smart casual wear probably best suited for a brunch or shopping or just for casual Fridays.

For the second outfit, I picked up the blue snakeskin effect tee. It has a cutout in the back which adds an edge to the entire top. I styled it up with a pair of ripped denim shorts and used a fringe sling bag for the casual chic look. To finish off the outfit I used a pair of sparkly flats. Although one could also use espadrilles or sneakers; I love mixing contrasts and bringing in a balance to my outfits. I would mostly wear this ensemble to the beach (not that Bangalore has any :P). Since I travel a bit, I'd like to wear it for the road trip as well. If denim shorts are a bit much then I would suggest a pair of boyfriend ripped jeans which would still give the same casual chic look. Go ahead and pair the overall look with big blingy hoop earrings and in a minute you can go from casual chic to boho chic :D

For the third look, I chose this olive green top from Roadster. Although it's a very simple top, the color and the gold button details on the top make it a bit edgy. One can pair it with black skinny jeans and a leather jacket to give it a biker chic look. I, on the other hand like to mix and match patterns and styles. To give it a more dressier look, I paired this edgy top with a delicate embroidered black and blue velvet skirt. I used a bag on a chain (trend I am currently obsessing over) and also paired the look with my cage studded heels. The entire ensemble can be worn for an evening out or a dressy formal dinner.

I am currently loving these buys and looking forward to buying more such staple pieces for my wardrobe from Myntra !

Hugs & Cheers,
